More About LGBTQ+ PopUp
Who is this for?
This is for professionals in the LGBTQ+ PR, Advertising, Marketing, Social Media & Influencer world, as well as brands and small businesses with a strong focus, as well as interest in, LGBTQ+ marketing outreach. In addition, we welcome agency leaders, digital media publishers, podcasters, YouTubers, content creators, mobile app developers, programmers & coders and other entrepreneurial LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to join us.
Would you like to play a part in the formation of this new group? We're looking for LEADERS in the PR, Advertising, Marketing and Media world to help us give this new group shape and form, while also playing a pivotal role in the development of an association culture, which LGBTQ+ PopUp can ultimately become.
We're also looking for local leaders to help us to create regional chapters around the globe, as well as industry leaders who can represent and head up our initiatives with small business, large brands, ad agencies, YouTube content creators and so much more.
Our LGBTQ+ PopUp Advisory Board credo: Positive / Forward-Thinking / Inclusive
For 2020, we'll be launching LGBTQ+ PopUp in New York. Launch receptions, as well as 1/2-day conferences and other events, are set to be scheduled in 2020 in Los Angeles, DC, Chicago, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Dallas and London. If you'd like to be a part of the leadership team in one of these regions, as well as a region not listed above that you feel we should be present in, please do let us know.
The opportunities we have for 2020 include:
- Sponsor a single regional event
- Sponsor a region for 1 year
- Sponsor LGBTQ+ PopUp globally for 1 year
As our Advisory Board develops, we would like to explore what types of educational panels & workshops we can develop for both our own programming, and programming for other conferences as well, all with a focus on LGBTQ+ advertising, marketing & media topics.
Are you involved with producing and/or programming a conference?
If you're involved with producing and/or programming for an advertising & marketing conference, and you're looking for stronger LGBTQ+ participation in membership, event attendance and educational speakers, let us know. We'd love to help.
If you're involved with producing and/or programming an LGBTQ+ conference, and you're looking for stronger LGBTQ+ advertising & marketing content, also let us know. We'd love to be a part of your conference!
To ultimately become a global LGBTQ+ Advertising & Marketing association, with a strong board of advisors and directors, as well as regional chapters worldwide.
Why Us? Experience!
From the Pink Media team, we've been instrumental with a variety of LGBTQ+ associations over the past 25 years, including board positions with IGLTA, Travel Gay Canada, LAGLCC, LGBT MPA and more. We've also been at the forefront of LGBTQ+ New Media since 1995 with the launch of GayWired.com, which was sold to Here Media in 2006. When we started, there was no Google or Yahoo, and banner ads did not exist yet. Our business life has coincided with the emergence of digital media, and we grew up professionally while banner advertising, e-mail campaigns, mobile apps, video and social media evolved into what they are today.
We believe that with the democratization of the tools to not only publish content, but to also communicate and share this content, the timing couldn't be better to create this group, with the hopes it develops into a full-blown association worthy of the LGBTQ+ Advertising, Marketing & New Media community we have with us today.
